Larry N. Schwartz, Ph.D., P.W.S., is a Vice President at Camp Dresser & McKee (CDM) and a certified Professional Wetland Scientist (PWS) with more than 25 years of experience addressing a wide range of environmental issues. His technical expertise is in wetland systems ecology, wetland treatment system design, and ecosystem restoration. Dr. Schwartz’s duties include designing wetland treatment systems for domestic wastewater, stormwater, industrial wastewater, and landfill leachate, as well as implementing wetland mitigation projects and a wide range of ecosystem restoration projects. He also coordinates and manages regulatory permit acquisition activities. While employed by the Florida Department of Environmental Regulation, Dr. Schwartz coordinated rulemaking leading to adoption of the state’s Wetland Application rule. Dr. Schwartz has made over 70 presentations to a wide range of audiences and authored or co-authored over 45 publications. He has been an instructor for the Florida Chamber Environmental Annual Permitting Short Course since 1988.
