Steve Starrett, Ph.D., P.E., D.WRE, M.ASCE, is an Associate Professor of Civil Engineering at Kansas State University. His specialty areas are water resources engineering and engineering ethics courses. The engineering ethics courses Dr. Starrett teaches are for graduate credit and are offered online. Dr. Starrett was the Technical Chair for the 2009 EWRI World Environmental and Water Resources Congress. He is currently the Chair of the ASCE Committee on Licensure and Ethics and has conducted numerous engineering ethics workshops nationwide and for the American Academy of Water Resources Engineers. He has served as an expert witness in numerous water resources and environmental related legal disputes. Dr. Starrett is the recipient of numerous prestigious awards, including the Young Engineer of the Year Award by the Kansas Society of Professional Engineers in 2003.
