Charles C. Calhoun, Jr., P.E., F.ASCE, is a civil engineer in private practice. He is a member of the ASCE Committee on Ethical Practice. He conducts ASCE’s “Leadership Development for the Engineer” seminar and the new, condensed online version of that seminar. Over a decade he has conducted leadership and ethics seminars throughout the country for ASCE and other professional organizations (including NSPE, ACEC, SAME, SWE), private firms, universities and governmental agencies. Ethics is an important and integral part of all of his seminars. He draws heavily on his experience as a manager in Federal Service as well as leadership positions in ASCE, most recently serving as President of the Coasts, Oceans, Ports and Rivers Institute (COPRI). His practical experience is reinforced with continual formal training and personal study to keep his seminars relevant, useful and fun.
