Purpose and Background

Our glazing systems are not being given the attention they deserve considering that they comprise a large portion of our building envelopes and are the first line of defense during a hurricane. Most of the glazing systems designed and installed in hurricane-prone regions of the country may be ill prepared to protect our buildings from a powerful storm. This webinar will raise awareness of the many requirements in the proper design of hurricane-resistant glazing systems that are being mostly overlooked in today’s designs. With the increasing threat of storms everyone in hurricane-prone regions need to be aware of if and how our glazing systems can provide adequate protection of our buildings during a hurricane.
