Purpose and Background

Who Should Attend

This seminar is aimed primarily at observers (inspectors), resident project representatives (resident engineers), and project managers, but is also applicable to contract administrators, architects, engineers, owners, supervisory personnel, and field management personnel, all members of a construction project team whose actions affect each other.

Seminar Instructor 

Wayne D. Reynolds, P.E., M.ASCE, is the Construction Management Program Coordinator in the Department of Applied Engineering and Technology at Eastern Kentucky. He teaches project organization and supervision, scheduling and cost control, contracts and bidding, quantity and cost estimating, engineering economy, and statics in the Construction Management Program. He has a B.S. from the U.S. Military Academy and an M.S. in civil engineering from Ohio State University.

Mr. Reynolds has experience in design and construction projects including transportation facilities, navigation structures, flood protection, and institutional buildings, and has served as Inspector, Project Engineer, Assistant Resident Engineer, Project Manager, Deputy District Engineer, and Contracting Officer. Mr. Reynolds was an Assistant Professor of Civil Engineering at the U.S. Air Force Academy. He is a member of ASCE and the Associated Schools of Construction.
