A student at Worcester Polytechnic Institute, Worcester, Mass. the 2012 New Face of Civil Engineering - College Edition, Danielle Antonellis, is studying civil engineering with a focus on building design and construction, and disaster recovery. After a trip to New Orleans, she was inspired to raise more than $11,000 to benefit the Lower 9th Ward. As president of the Society of Fire Protection Engineers at her school, Danielle coordinates events for fire protection engineering students. Danielle was selected by the National Engineers Week Foundation to be recognized as the civil engineering representative amongst the 2012 New Faces of Engineering: College Edition.
