The leadership of the House of Representatives in the 112th Congress has promised a new level of transparency in government. To demonstrate their commitment to this, the 2011 House Calendar features at least one District Work Period per month. During these District Work Periods, the House will not be in session in Washington, DC. This affords Representatives many opportunities to meet with their constituents back home in the districts.
ASCE members can take advantage of these opportunities by attending a local Town Hall meeting with your federal elected leader(s) and/or scheduling a Back Home Visit with your Representative during upcoming District Work Periods - view 2011 House Calendar.
