Ira Allan Levy, P.E., M.ASCE
AECOM Executive Vice President, US Northeast
Ira Levy is an AECOM Executive Vice President for the US Northeast. In this capacity he is responsible for all operations within AECOM’s Northeastern Region, which encompasses more than 3,000 staff members within the transportation, water, design, environment and energy business lines.
The former President of DMJM Harris, a legacy AECOM company, Mr. Levy brings a successful career in leadership and project execution to his role. Over the course of his 40-year career, Mr. Levy has been responsible for delivering such landmark projects as the $17-billion Second Avenue Subway, the first new subway in Manhattan since the 1930s; the $2-billion World Trade Center Transportation Hub and Vehicle Security Center, where AECOM is working in association with renowned architect Santiago Calatrava and others; as well as San Juan, Puerto Rico’s world class public transit system, Tren Urbano.
A licensed Professional Engineer, Mr. Levy’s background includes extensive experience in the execution of diverse projects with a strong emphasis on public interface, environmental issues and alternate delivery methods. Active in representing AECOM and the industry, Mr. Levy has held leadership roles in technical, charitable and industry associations as well as on public boards.
