The ASCE Peer Review Process

What happens during a peer review?

ASCE's professional staff is available to answer questions, provide information, and guide you every step of the way through the peer review process.

How do I get started?

Any director of a public agency may request a peer review by writing, calling, or emailing the ASCE Professional Practice Department Manager at:

American Society of Civil Engineers
Becky Waldrup
Manager, Professional Practice
Peer Review Program
1801 Alexander Bell Drive
Reston, VA 20191
Email: rwaldrup@asce.org
Phone: 800-548-2723 ext. 6281 or 703-295-6281

Requests must come from the engineer or director of the agency, or portion of the agency to be reviewed, who is the senior manager of the organization or the individual in responsible charge of engineering, construction, and/or maintenance operations for the agency (or division thereof). Requests from parent or other agencies for a review of another agency will not be considered.

After speaking with ASCE, the engineer or director will be asked to complete and submit the peer review request form below.
