| In general, an applicant for the Associate Member grade will have less than five (5) years responsible charge of engineering experience. Applicants with an acceptable ABET/EAC-accredited degree (includes Washington Accord-approved degrees) are eligible for immediate admission to the Associate Member grade. Applicants with non-ABET/EAC-accredited degrees (includes ABET/TAC-accredited technology degrees) who reside in the United States must possess Engineer-in-Training certification in order to qualify for this grade.
