Outreach has its rewards!
As an ASCE pre-college outreach volunteer, you will be part of a network of champions engaging students in fun engineering activities and sharing insights about the career you love - civil engineering!
The rewards are great. You will experience personal satisfaction and know that you are helping the profession recruit new, young talent. Whether you are an individual looking to visit a few classrooms, or an outreach leader planning activities for your Section or Branch, ASCE is here to provide training and resources to boost your confidence as you engage students of all ages!
Civil what!? Kids, grades 3 – 7, learn all about civil engineering through a fun, interactive Website that invites them to see the role of civil engineering in the world. Kids explore the ins and outs of civil engineering projects, meet engineers through interesting profiles, and play fun games and overcome challenges to reinforce engineering concepts. Complete with a scavenger hunt game to introduce kids to the many ways civil engineers make our world more sustainable, this is a site you don’t want to miss!
