Inner Harbor Navigation Canal Surge Barrier

ASCE has awarded Inner Harbor Navigation Canal Surge Barrier of New Orleans, LA with the 2014 Outstanding Civil Engineering Achievement (OCEA) Award. At the Society’s black-tie OPAL Gala on March 20, the centerpiece of the U.S. Army Corps of Engineers’ Hurricane and Storm Damage Risk Reduction System was announced this year’s best project.

Entries for the 2015 award are due June 2, 2014.
