Education

  • Irrigation Engineer in Egyptian Ministry of Irrigation, 1953-1956
  • Lecturer, Shams University, 1960-1964
  • Visiting Professor Washington State University, 1964-1966
  • Associate Professor, Shams University, 1967-1972
  • Professor and Head of Hydraulics & Irrigation Department Ain Shams University
  • Emeritus Professor, Ain Shams University, 2003-present
  • Research and consultant to UNESCO and FAO
  • Designed major reclamation projects and Hydraulic Structures in Egypt and other countries

ASCE Involvement 

  • President, ASCE Egypt Section
