Natalie Weiershausen, P.E., ENV SP, M.ASCE
2014 New Faces of Civil Engineering - Professionals Honoree
Weiershausen, a Project Engineer with Klotz Associates, Inc. in Houston, Texas manages site and utility design and has experience in roadway design, as well as large water and wastewater master planning projects.
An active volunteer with ASCE’s Houston Branch, Natalie serves as the Branch’s VP of Education, Lead Engineer for a soon to be established Civil Engineering High School Club and volunteered during the City of Houston’s Infrastructure Day. Often called upon to serve as a panelist and presenter on civil engineering career related topics, Weiershausen has also volunteered with The Society of Women Engineers (SWE), the Susan G. Komen Foundation and as an assistant coach for a YMCA Youth co-ed basketball team.
With Klotz, Weiershausen’ s latest projects have encompassed site designs ranging from 2 to 90 plus acres and are inclusive of storm water, sanitary sewer, water, paving, traffic control and coordination with county, city, state transportation, and municipal utility district regulations. She is often cited for her proficiency in meeting the needs of the project while coming up with sound engineering solutions to changes that not only exceed client’s needs, but comply with all regulatory requirements.
Weiershausen earned her Bachelor of Science in Civil Engineering from The University of Texas at Austin.
