Nationally Recognized Engineers Named Distinguished Members of Professional Society
American Society of Civil Engineers Give Highest Honor to Professionals

Reston, Va. – The American Society of Civil Engineers (ASCE) recently named 10 exemplary civil engineers as Distinguished Members of the Society. Formerly known as Honorary Membership, Distinguished Membership is the Society's highest accolade and recognizes those who have achieved eminence in a branch of engineering. The Distinguished Membership roster is currently comprised of only 198 of the Society's 146,000 members worldwide. The new Distinguished Members will be formally inducted Oct. 29, 2009 at ASCE's 139th Annual Civil Engineering Conference in Kansas City, Mo. The 2009 class of Distinguished Members are:
