Local Engineer, Leonard Cilli Elected to National Civil Engineering Society’s Regional Governing Board

 Reston, Va. ― Leonard Cilli, A.M.ASCE, president of Cilli Environmental Group, LLC, was recently elected as a governor of Region 1 of the American Society of Civil Engineers (ASCE). Region 1, one of the Society’s 10 regional governing boards, represents members from Maine, New Hampshire, Vermont, New York, Massachusetts, Connecticut, Rhode Island, New Jersey and Puerto Rico. Cilli will begin his term on Oct. 1, 2010. 

Prior to becoming president of Cilli Environmental Group, LLC, Cilli was the technical director for Brinkerhoff Environmental Services, Inc. He was also a project manager for Cotilla Associates and the Earth Technology Corporation. 

An active member of ASCE, Cilli has served as a member of the Committee on Geographic Units, governor and treasure of Region 1, president of the New Jersey Section and chair of the District 1 Council. 

Cilli received his bachelor’s degree from the New Jersey Institute of Technology. He is a resident of Jackson, New Jersey.
