Reston, Va. ― Robert Victor, P.E., a senior project manager with AECOM, was recently elected as a director of Region 2 of the American Society of Civil Engineers (ASCE). Region 2, one of the Society’s ten regional governing boards, represents members from Pennsylvania, Maryland and Delaware. Victor began his term on Oct. 1, 2010.
A senior projects manager with AECOM, Victor manages business developments, transportation, public works and energy projects. He is currently working on railroad clearance projects, improving railroad conditions and flood protection, and bridge rehabilitation and reconstruction projects.
Within ASCE, Victor has served as governor of Region 2, chair of the Committee on Government Affairs, a member of the Committee on Professional Practice, program committee chair of the St. Louis Section and director of the Pittsburgh Section. Currently, he serves on the Committee on Academic Prerequisites and the Task Committee on Implementation of the Competency Strategy.
Victor has a bachelor’s degree in civil engineering from the University of Michigan at Ann Arbor. He also has a master’s degree in civil engineering from the University of Illinois at Champaign-Urbana. A registered professional engineer in five states and the District of Columbia, Victor is a resident of Pittsburgh, Pa.
