 ASCE Recognizes a Part of Their History during Annual Conference in Las Vegas 

Reston, Va. —In celebration of the 75th anniversary of the Hoover Dam, the American Society of Civil Engineers (ASCE) will host a special symposium on the dam, its engineering and history during the society’s 140th Annual Civil Engineering Conference in Las Vegas. The program—held on October 21 and 22—will begin with a presentation on the relationship of politics and dam safety to the approval of the original Boulder Dam Canyon Project Act. Other sessions will include:
