Proceedings of the Second International Conference on Advances in Underground Pipeline Engineering, held in Bellevue, Washington, June 25-28, 1995.

This collection contains 76 papers reviewing progress since 1985 in the area of underground pipeline engineering. Papers report on developments in materials, design, corrosion control, coatings, linings, seismic design, hydraulics, special design considerations, trenchless methods, rehabilitation of aging pipelines and manholes, and field performance. Topics include special design considerations for pipes made of a variety of materials such as plastic, concrete, and steel; trenchless technology for pipeline rehabilitation; and protective coatings and linings. Authors from the United States, Canada, the United Kingdom, Germany, Sweden, Saudi Arabia, Japan, France, and Australia describe shifts in types of pipe materials used for different applications and projection of future technological needs in this field.
