Proceedings of the Twelfth International Conference on Automated People Movers, held in Atlanta, Georgia, May 31–June 3, 2009. Sponsored by the Committee on Automated People Movers of the Transportation & Development Institute of ASCE.

This collection contains 53 papers offering the latest ideas, technology, planning, and projects demonstrating a global focus on automated transit and its practical application in urban areas around the world. Automated transportation is widely accepted to be safer and less costly than vehicles operated manually, as well as more efficient than human traffic control.
