Proceedings of the Second National Congress on Civil Engineering History and Heritage, held in Boston, Massachusetts, October 18-21, 1998.

This collection contains 25 papers presenting studies of different aspects of civil engineering history and heritage. Specific landmarks, such as the Moseley Riveted Wrought Iron Arch, are discussed, as are the programs to preserve engineering landmarks. Other papers explore the history of underground engineering and construction. Twelve geographic sections of ASCE contribute papers about the history of civil engineering in their areas of the country.
