 Kancheepuram N. Gunalan, Ph.D., P.E., M.ASCE

 Kancheepuram Gunalan earned a bachelor's degree in civil engineering from the University of Madras, in India, a master's degree in engineering from Anna University, also in India, and a doctorate in civil engineering from Texas Tech University.  He is a vice president of Parsons Brinckerhoff, of New York City, and manages several projects through its subsidiary PB Americas, Inc.  Gunalan has held many ASCE leadership positions, serving as a governor of Region 8, the president of the Utah Section, and the chair of a Geo Institute task force on mechanically stabilized earth walls.  He has served on ASCE's Committee on Global Principles for Professional Conduct and as a member of the Geo Institute's Technical Committee on Embankments, Dams, and Slopes.
