ASCE is seeking your support in sponsoring the 25th Annual ASCE National Concrete Canoe Competition (NCCC), which will be held at the University of Nevada Reno on June 14-16, 2012. The Competition will showcase the works of some of the best and brightest civil engineering students.
Each year over 5,000 students from 200 from colleges and universities design, construct, and race concrete canoes in 18 regional competitions. The winners of those regional competitions and returning finalists, numbering 25 schools and 500 students, will meet at the national competition in Reno.
The competition gives them the opportunity to learn valuable lessons in concrete materials, mix design and performance, engineering, negotiation, teamwork and project management. And it gives your company the opportunity to interact and court the leaders and innovators of tomorrow.
