Eligibility for this award is as follows: Each nominee must be a member in good standing of ASCE.
Nominations may be made by a Section or Branch, an International Section or Group, a committee or group of a Section or Branch, a Student Chapter or Club, a standing ASCE committee, an individual ASCE member, or a community organization. A recommendation letter signed by the nominator should be included in the nomination package. The nominee cannot be the nominator.
A maximum of three references will be accepted, including that of the nominator.
The selections for these awards, up to four total, will be made by the ASCE Committee on Volunteer Community Service (CVCS), prior to the Multi-Region Leadership Conferences.
Active voting members of CVCS shall not be eligible for the award. Corresponding Members of CVCS are eligible.
An endorsement must be provided by an ASCE member in good standing (only required if the nominator is not an ASCE member.)
Nominees are not required to have achievements in all categories shown on the nomination form in order to be considered for the award.
The recipients of the award will be presented plaques at the Multi-Region Leadership Conference that includes the recipient's region.
Recipients will only receive this award once in their lifetime.
The completed nomination package, including the nominator's letter, checklist, official nomination form, and supporting material, must be received at ASCE headquarters no later than October 1st of the year of the award.
Citizen Engineer Award Rules
