ASCE Sustainability Project Award

Entries due by June 1, 2014

With the growing importance of sustainability as a critical performance factor in civil engineering projects, ASCE established the Innovation in Sustainable Engineering Award, honoring a project that demonstrates innovations in sustainability. Nominated projects are evaluated on the basis of: (a) the extent to which innovative design or construction methods improve economic, social and environmental sustainability; (b) the potential to promote future developments in sustainability; (c) the degree to which the project extends public understanding of sustainability in engineering and construction. Projects developed or implemented between 2007 and 2013 that have not been a candidate for the Outstanding Civil Engineering Achievement (OCEA) Award are eligible for consideration. Entries are due to the Honors and Awards Program office by June 1, 2014.
