Conference
Goals:
The
conference is designed to provide the opportunity:

To bring together engineers, seismologists, geologists, social
scientists, and managers to exchange information about earthquakes
and lifeline performance.
- To
discuss state-of-the-art lifeline earthquake engineering by individuals
in their respective areas of expertise.
- To
explore similarities between response and vulnerability of lifelines
to earthquakes and other types of catastrophic external loading
events.
- For
ASCE members and nonmembers to participate in workshops in various
specialty areas.
- To
introduce industry-standard systems and renowned market applications
and products through vendor and organization exhibits.
- For
attendees to interface with each other and exchange information
for improving seismic performance of lifelines, especially one-on-one
discussions through poster sessions.
