Thursday is GEO-INSTITUTE DAY at the NASHVILLE 2003 Civil Engineering Conference & Exposition! The day offers a concentrated GEO-FOCUS, with the Geo-Institute Business Meeting & Luncheon, Karl Terzaghi Lecture, the evening's Icebreaker, and Geotechnical track sessions.

Geo-Institute Business Meeting and Luncheon

Geotechnical engineering specialists are invited to a lunch-time gathering to hear Dr. Sandra L. Houston, incoming Geo-Institute President,describe the G-I agenda for the coming year, and present Geo-Institute service awards to outgoing committee chairs.
The Luncheon is included for GEO-DAY Registrants. Additional tickets: $40.

Please note that the start time for the Geotechnical Session that precedes the Terzaghi Lecture is 3:30 PM and the session ends at 5:00 PM to accommodate the Lecture.

Karl Terzaghi Lecture

Be present for delivery of the geotechnical field's prestigious Karl Terzaghi Lecture, presented annually by a distinguished engineer. This year's awardee, Dr. John T. Christian, Consulting Engineer, will deliver his lecture "Geotechnical Engineering Reliability: How Well Do We Know What We Are Doing?"
