About the Conference
The inaugural Solutions to Coastal Disasters Conference held in San Diego in 2002 created a productive exchange of ideas among professionals in the field worldwide. The Coasts, Oceans, Ports and Rivers Institute (COPRI) of the American Society of Civil Engineers (ASCE) is pleased to announce the Solutions to Coastal Disasters Conference 2005. This second generation conference will share lessons learned since the 2002 conference as well as creative new solutions to coastal disasters.The Solutions to Coastal Disasters Conference 2005 is a must-attend conference for coastal planners, managers, scientists, engineers, geologists, economists, oceanographers, meteorologists, property owners, elected officials, and others interested in the coasts. It will be held May 8—11, 2005, in Charleston, South Carolina.
