The InterContinental New Orleans is centered at the core of the city, providing convenient access to the historic wonders of the French Quarter, major attractions of the Mississippi River and the Superdome, as well as the emergent style, contemporary arts, and eclectic shopping and dining of the Warehouse and Convention Center Districts. This AAA four-diamond award winning hotel features 479 luxuriously appointed guest rooms that include 75 balcony rooms, 30 suites, and 31 Club Level rooms. Guest room features include in-room safes, coffee makers, hairdryers, minibars, high-speed Internet access, and DVD quality movies. The hotel offers Room Service, a newly renovated 24-hour Fitness Center overlooking a rooftop swimming pool, Business Center, wireless Internet access in all public areas, and an Instant Service Center.

Hotel Reservations:
The cutoff date for hotel reservations is April 20, 2007. The group rate is $148 single or double plus taxes of 13% and a $2 per room per night occupancy tax. Please call 1-800-445-6563 and ask for the "Coastal Sediments Room Block."

Parking Options:
Alternative offsite parking is available for the conference. Pan American Garage (504-525-2385) is attached to the hotel and charges $15-20 for 24hour parking with no in/out privileges. If you need in/out privileges, you would be charged hourly and the garage charges $3 for 0- ½ hour, $4 for ½-1 hour, $6 for 1-2 hours, $8 for 2-3 hours, $10 for 3-4 hours, $12 for 4-10 hours, and $20 for 10-24 hours. The hotel suggests that if you do need in/out privileges tha you instead use the valet parking option through the hotel which would allow you unlimited in and out parking at a flat rate of $29 per day. Another option is the Whitney Garage (504-525-6413), located next door to the hotel with an entrance on St. Charles Ave. The Whitney Garage rates run approximately the same as the Pan American Garage.
