or embassies. If a letter of invitation is required to secure a visa,
please e-mail your request at least six weeks prior to your planned travel
to the Conferences Department ( jpruett@asce.org ).

Ground Transportation:
Two shuttle bus services, Mears and TransStar, are available
for transportation from Orlando International Airport to the
Rosen Plaza Hotel, an approximately 15-minute trip.
One-way service is about $13 per person*.
There is also taxicab service between airport and hotel. Fare is $29 to $34
per trip, for 1 to 9 passengers*.
For transportation from the hotel to the airport upon departure,
there is a one-way shuttle service, Town & Country, based at
the hotel.

Travel Tips:
Service charges or tips are generally not included in published
prices in the United States. Restaurant servers, taxi drivers, etc.,
generally expect a tip of at least 15%.
Smoking in public areas is usually prohibited in the United
States. Smokers should seek out designated smoking areas in
hotels, restaurants, and other businesses.
Congress Dress:
Business casual attire is appropriate for most Deep Foundations
2002 events. Although jackets are not required for the sessions,
they are advisable because conference rooms are typically cool.
Business attire is requested for the "Honoring our Heroes" Banquet.
The average daily February temperature in Orlando ranges from
a high of 73° F/22.8°C to a low of 50°F/10°C. Orlando typically
receives 3.02 inches of rain in February but does not get snow.
