Join the Environmental & Water Resources Institute and the Indian Institute of Technology (IIT), Kanpur for a jointly organized conference titled – An International Perspective on Environmental and Water Resources – scheduled to be held December 18-20, 2006 in New Delhi, India. Participants will include engineers, scientists, and planners from all over the globe.

This three-day conference will include:

A plenary session with presentations by

Professor Asit K. Biswas – 2006 Stockholm Water Prize Laureate, and

Mr. Chan Yoon Kum, Assistant Chief Executive, Singapore Public Utilities Board
Thirty technical sessions presented over 3 days in 3 concurrent technical tracks
A Monday evening interactive poster session coupled with the opening reception
Two closing roundtable discussions with internationally renowned panelists (one discussion on water and the other on the environment).
Conference proceedings available for distribution at the conference.

The conference will also provide registrants with opportunities to participate in social and networking events.

**All full registrations include all conference sessions, Monday, Tuesday & Wednesday breakfasts, luncheons, and refreshment breaks, one reception on Monday and one copy of the Conference Proceedings.

Tours of Delhi and other locations in India must be arranged and paid for by the participants independent of the conference registration fee. We recommend that participants arrange tours through the official conference destination management company, CIM. Le Meridien will extend the group rate three days before and three days after the room block dates, (December 14 through December 23, 2006) on a space availability basis.

Additional Rate Information
All room rates are subject to applicable tax, which is currently 12.5% on published rack rate and 0.63% DVAT tax per room, per night on the conference rate, and is subject to change without notice.

Reservations

Procedures:
Individual Call-in*

*Reservations may be made by individuals directly with the Hotel by call-ins, reservation card or form, via the Internet, or other channels available to groups.

Deposits

All sleeping room reservation requests will require a one night non-refundable deposit be paid by October 15, 2006, failing which the room sleeping room reservation will be released. Any room reservation cancellations after October 15th will attract one night room retention charges. Any cancellations received within 48 hours prior to arrival or no-shows will attract retention charges for the period for which the room has been reserved.

Reservation Cutoff Date
Upon receipt of a signed copy of this Contract, Hotel shall hold the block of sleeping rooms noted above until the cutoff date, October 21, 2006. After this date, Le Meridien reserves the right to offer rooms held in the conference block to other customers to reduce our losses from unused rooms. Reservations by conference attendees after the Cutoff Date will be accepted based on room availability and at the contracted group rate.
