Make your plans now to participate in the ASCE PIPELINES 2002 comprehensive symposium. The Pipeline Division conference is dedicated to inform, educate, and share lessons learned in the water, storm and wastewater, oil, and gas industries about piping systems. This year we continue that tradition with — Beneath Our Feet: Challenges and Solutions. The 2002 conference will provide an excellent opportunity to explore and network about the challenges faced, how they are being addressed, and the latest innovations in underground infrastructure investigation, assessment, design, construction, and renewal.

Current events have also made the engineering community all too aware of the real challenges before us in dealing with the increased need for security of critical infrastructure throughout the world. Age, environmental and regulatory compliance, corrosion, increased population, industrial growth, and ultimately funding to address these needs are just some of the challenges explored.

PIPELINES 2002 is designed to highlight these concerns and present ideas and solutions. Over 70 experienced authors will be presenting during the three-day technical program and two continuing

education seminars. Through these presentations, technical tours, and an excellent exhibition including the latest in pipeline engineering and technology, you will experience the benefits of networking — providing a foundation to continue the necessary growth and understanding for all areas of pipeline infrastructure.

Join us in Cleveland to learn and share experiences … plus “twist and shout” for an evening at the Rock and Roll Hall of Fame and enjoy America’s favorite pastime with the Cleveland Indians at Jacob’s Field. Your participation at PIPELINES 2002 – Beneath Our Feet: Challenges and Solutions will enhance the experience for all involved in the water, storm and wastewater, oil, and gas pipeline engineering communities. And, remember to practice your drive for the golf tournament!
