The ASCE Pipeline Division's International Conference, Pipelines 2004 San Diego, will provide an excellent forum for colleagues from around the world to come together to explore advances in the water, wastewater, oil, and gas pipeline engineering communities. The world today presents new demands and challenges for pipeline professionals in many areas - including security, risk management, rehabilitation, and safety of pipeline infrastructure. Extensive technical sessions, panel discussions, exhibits, and participation of leading experts worldwide make this the conference to attend to exchange information on the current pressing issues of the day and gain insights into where the future will lead our continual commitment to the public.

This conference also draws support from cosponsorship by the National Association of Corrosion Engineers (NACE) and the Prestressed Concrete Cylinder Pipe (PCCP) Users Forum. NACE is an international association that provides education and communicates information to protect people, assets, and the environment from the effects of corrosion. The PCCP Users Forum's goal is to educate PCCP owners about how to assess the condition and rehabilitate their pipelines at a cost less than replacement. It also provides a network to access available knowledge on PCCP. Both sponsors will enhance the conference's technical opportunities and enrich participants with new ideas in pipeline engineering.

Conference Format

The four-day conference will include a plenary session, technical sessions, panel discussions, and workshops, as well as a trade exhibit and technical tour. There will be no poster sessions. Proceedings will be provided onsite at the conference.

Technical Tours and Social Events
