Submission of Abstracts and Special Sessions

Guidelines on Submission of Abstracts

All who wish to present their work at the Conference must submit extended abstracts of about 500 words, with key results and figures by August 05, 2005. On-line submission is required. Abstracts will be reviewed by members of the Technical Committee to determine their suitability for presentation at the Conference.

Once an abstract has been accepted, the author will be asked to submit a 4-8 page long paper to be published in the Conference proceedings. An expanded and revised version of the Conference paper may be submitted to the ASCE Journal of Aerospace Engineering for possible publication. Papers must adhere to ASCE's publication formats. Detailed guidelines for paper preparation will be provided to all authors whose abstracts are accepted. Papers are required from all presenters at the Conference. However if, under unforeseen circumstances, an individual whose abstract has been accepted is unable to deliver the paper on time for publication in the proceedings, he/she may still present the paper at the Conference by registering to attend the Conference by the early-bird deadline, February 1, 2006.

Authors whose abstracts are accepted and who submit a final paper are expected to attend the Conference, pay appropriate fees, and make their presentation(s) in person. To provide diversity in presentation and accommodate as many individual presenters as possible, a one-person/ one-presentation policy will be observed. Questions regarding an abstract, paper, or presentation may be directed to the Technical Co-Chairs.

Abstracts submitted for special sessions also must be submitted online by the August 05, 2005 deadline.
