2nd NASA/ARO/ASCE Workshop on Granular Materials
in Lunar and Martian Exploration

This year a special attraction is being added to the Earth & Space 2006 Conference. The 2nd NASA/ARO/ASCE Workshop on Granular Materials in Lunar and Martian Exploration will be held as an integral part of the Conference.

This workshop will bring together a group of researchers from this spectrum of disciplines to identify the challenges and necessary research in granular and regolith mechanics to make lunar and Martian exploration successful.

Student Robotics Competition
The Student Robotics Competition has been a highlight of previous conferences. There will be student teams from far and wide competing again this year.

Keynote and Invited Speakers
The keynote and invited speakers at the conference will include leaders and experts from government agencies, industry, and academia. Each day of the conference will begin with a keynote lecture. In addition there will be a special guest speaker at the Awards Banquet on Tuesday, March 7, 2006.

Icebreaker Reception on Monday evening, March 6, 2006
This is a terrific time to meet your colleagues attending the conference.

One ticket is included with each full registration. Additional tickets may be purchased when you register or on-site at the conference at the registration desk.

Awards Banquet on Tuesday evening, March 7, 2006
The Flour-Daniel Trophy will be awarded to the winning student team from the Student Robotics Competition. The Aerospace Division will also present various awards at the Banquet, including the Outstanding Professional Service Awards and the Best Paper Award of the Journal of Aerospace Engineering.

One ticket for the Banquet is included with each full registration. Additional tickets may be purchased when you register or on-site at the conference registration desk.

Authors' Breakfast and Refreshment Breaks
An Authors' breakfast and instruction session will be held each day at 7:00 am for those who are presenting on that particular day.

Refreshment breaks will be held in the morning and in the afternoon, in between the session times.
