Denver,Colorado: Springtime in the Rockies!
Join your friends and colleagues for a structural
engineering experience in the beautiful
Colorado Rocky Mountains. Sure, we have a
great program for you, but get out of the hotel!
Visit the historic Larimer’s Square, enjoy a
stroll through the 16th Street
mall, sample a local brew in the
exciting LoDo area, experience
the verse and songs of a cowboy
poet, or catch a show in the
Tony Award winning Center for
the Performing Arts. Within
easy walking distance of the
hotel are a wide variety of shops,
restaurants, nightspots, and many of the city's
top attractions — including the U.S. Mint, Denver Art Museum,
and Colorado History Museum.
Denver is a clean, young, and green city with
over 200 parks and dozens of tree-lined
boulevards. The architecture reflects the city's
three boom periods: Victorian, when silver was
discovered in Leadville; turn-
of-the-century, when gold was
discovered in Cripple Creek;
and contemporary, when the
energy boom added 16 skyscrapers to the
downtown skyline in a three year period, 1980-
1983.
Have a car? Take a scenic drive
through the mountains, visit
historic Georgetown, and don’t
forget your skis and
snowboards. All major ski
areas are open in April.
