In late May, the weather in Nashville is variable with average daily lows about 60 degrees and highs around 80 degrees with occasional rain.

Congress Dress

Business attire is appropriate for most 2004 Structures Congress events. Although jackets are not required for the sessions, they are advisable because conference rooms are typically cool.

Refreshment Breaks

Complimentary coffee and soda service will be available between sessions Monday and Tuesday in the Exhibit Hall and Wednesday in the Registration Foyer.

Visit the ASCE Bookstore!

ASCE's bookstore will showcase hundreds of titles from the society's extensive collection. The bookstore will be open during registration hours. Look for it in the Registration Desk area. This is your once–a–year opportunity to visit what may be the largest bookstore in the world devoted to structural engineering titles.

Congress Proceedings

To pick up a CD–ROM of the Congress Proceedings, turn in your ticket (included with all Full Congress Registrations) at the SEI Registration Desk. Additional CDs may be purchased at the Bookstore.

Speakers' Preparation Room

All presenters and moderators are required to register and pay appropriate fees for the 2004 Structures Congress & Exposition. The Speakers' Preparation Room will be available beginning Monday, May 24 at 7:00 am and for the duration of the Congress. Some audiovisual equipment will be available for rehearsing; no LCD panels will be available in this room.

Earn Valuable Continuing Professional Development Hours (PDHs)

PDHs, a nationally recognized unit of record in non–credit educational programs, are earned for participation in conference technical activities. Earn up to 16.5 PDHs for attending the technical program, plenary and concurrent sessions. Your on–site registration packet will contain more information concerning ASCE's voluntary continuing professional development program.
