COPRI Project Excellence Award

The Project Excellence Award (PEA) was established by the COPRI Governing Board in 2008, and is intended to give professionals who practice in these areas the opportunity to showcase their projects to the COPRI community and to gain international recognition for their efforts.

Project Excellence Award Entry Guidelines

2014 nomination packages are due by March 3, 2014. Nominations forms should be accompanied by a letter of reference from either the project client, owner or end-user should, include a project description with information on location, type, cost goals and duration of design and construction. To be considered for the award, projects must present a design solution in one of COPRI's practice areas. Projects need to have been completed within three years of the award application period. Winners of the PEA award will be considered for nomination for ASCE OPAL awards by the COPRI Governing Board.


The PEA is intended to recognize: innovation, through both research methodologies and techniques which decrease negative environmental impacts; significant achievement through design or construction concepts; use of new or existing analytical techniques; use of new or existing technology; adaptive reuse of existing features or infrastructure; or methods to minimize environmental impacts within the affected region or area.
