Committed to ASCE Involvement

Moffatt and Nichol 2ASCE has been an integral part of Moffatt & Nichol since the firm’s inception. The Board of Directors of ASCE established the John G. Moffatt-Frank E. Nichol Harbor and Coastal Engineering Award in 1977, the society’s first recognition of outstanding achievement in coastal engineering.

The award recognizes ASCE members who have contributed to the development of new, implementable concepts that expand engineering and construction techniques for harbor and coastal projects. In 2011, Robert Nichol, P.E., Dist.M.ASCE was awarded a Distinguished Membership, the highest recognition ASCE may confer.

This commitment to ASCE has motivated many of Moffatt & Nichol’s professional staff to join ASCE and take part in and lead ASCE committees. Moffatt & Nichol is proud to be a part of the organization.
