The Emerging Leaders Alliance (ELA) is a partnership between engineering, research, and science-based organizations dedicated to leadership development. The ELA promotes great leaders within the technical community, arming them with broad skills to address the needs of people in the 21st century.
The ELA hosts an
annual interdisciplinary leadership conference, providing training in topics such as social styles, leading innovation, global and virtual team leadership, and more. The Conference is an exciting opportunity to participate in hands-on leadership training with members
of leading engineering, research, and scientific organizations.

Each year ASCE selects members to attend the ELA conference as representatives of ASCE. Selected applicants receive a complimentary conference registration, but are responsible for travel expenses and lodging.
The 2016 ELA conference will be held on November 9-12, 2016 at the Westin Tysons Corner in Falls Church, VA. This year's conference topics include social styles, global and virtual team leadership, transitioning from technical to management, and more.
