Prof. Sankaran Mahadevan and Prof. Caglar Oskay will chair the The EMI 2016 Conference and the Probabilistic Mechanics and Reliability Conference 2016 (PMC 2016) at Vanderbilt University, Nashville, Tennessee, on May 22-25, 2016.
SHORT COURSES - Call For Proposals
Deadline - October 31, 2015
The short course could be on a specific topic related to the interests of the EMI and PMC participants, and could be either half-day or full-day in length. We plan to offer these short courses on Sunday, May 22, 2016. The EMI Board in consultation with the organizing committee will approve the final short course offerings based on enrollment, topics, and space availability. The course material, including PDF files of notes/presentations will be provided in electronic form by the course instructor.
A minimum of 5 full-paid participants are needed for each course to be offered. The registration fees for the short courses are $250 for a full-day course and $125 for a half-day course. Those interested in offering a short course should check with Dr. Amar Chaker (EMI) <

The short course proposals need to include the following information:

3. Abstract (1 paragraph)
4. Table of contents
5. Sponsoring committee, if any
6. Length of the course: Half-day (3 hours of instruction) or Full-day (6 hours of instruction)
