Reasons to apply for ASCE Fellow

Professional recognition of your engineering peers

What current ASCE fellows say...

"It is said that one shouldn’t be prideful, but being named a Fellow is a case where you should feel very proud. I still look at my Fellow certificate and feel a true sense of accomplishment, it being one of the most meaningful of my career."

Jack A. Raudenbush
P.E., F.ASCE

"I have had a career where very few of my accomplishments are mine and mine alone. I have been very fortunate to have had a lot of exciting and professionally satisfying experiences with projects, construction, design, and working in professional and civic activities. The award (of Fellow) belongs to many people who added value to each effort."

Michael Ross Fink
P.E., F.ASCE

"There are a lot of us average engineers (average Joes) out here trying to design a better, safer world consistently. We don’t seek a promotion or salary increase. I am honored that ASCE and our engineering peers recognize that unwavering effort with the Fellow grade."

Benny K. Louie
P.E., F.ASCE

"ASCE is the professional society I have belonged to throughout my career. I am proud of being a long-term member of it. I hope that my Fellow position will inspire more young civil engineers to contribute to and to be nurtured by this Society."

Hayley H. Shen
Ph.D., F.EMI, F.ASCE

"Placing the F.ASCE credential after my name gives me a tremendous sense of pride. To my colleagues and clients, it reinforces that my work is consistent and true and that my word is trustworthy. By being recognized as a Fellow, I have gained access to an exceptional network of civil engineers who have dedicated their careers to achieving excellence."

N. Catherine Bazan-Arias
Ph.D., P.E., BC.GE, F.ASCE
