Name recognition is first and foremost in marketing a company. Ever notice the company name on signs outside meetings you attend? Wouldn't you like to have your company's name there for everyone to see?
Since 1999, the ASCE Foundation has established itself as a leader in raising funds for ASCE's Annual Conferences and Expositions and, recently, has begun assisting some of the smaller ASCE specialty conferences and congresses. Sponsorships aide the overall conference budget, so that registration fees can be set at an affordable rate for attendees and for production of a first-class event.
One of our sponsors said it best. "Firms provide financial assistance for two main reasons: general support of the cause, and exposure (for business and recruiting). . . recognition. . . because it draws everyone's attention to the sponsor for a moment. . . Our whole intention for the conference was recruiting."
Benefits of Sponsorship
Conference sponsorships have many benefits. The minimum benefits you will receive are your company's name: 1) on the conference web site, 2) listed in the conference preliminary program, 3) listed in the conference final program, and 4) on a sign outside your event's room. Some of the other possible benefits are: complimentary tickets to the expo, complimentary tickets to the sponsored event, or a complimentary exposition booth. Additional benefits depend on the event you sponsor and the amount of the sponsorship.
