GeoHubei International Conference: Sustainable Civil Infrastructures
July 20-22, 2014 •  Hubei, China

Co-sponsored by the Geo-Institute of the ASCE (G-I)

GeoHubei 2014 will showcase recent developments and advancements in design, construction, and safety inspections of transportation infrastructures, and will offer a forum to discuss and debate future directions for the 21st century.

Conference topics will cover a broad array of contemporary issues for bridge, pavement, geotechnical, and tunnel engineers from around the world.

Call for Proposals: Presentations

Marine Foundations Seminar: Current Topics in Marine Foundation Technologies
presented by the Deep Foundations Institute (DFI)
August 1-2, 2013 • Seattle, Washington

This 1.5 day seminar will focus on

  • Coastal and Overwater Roadways
  • Seawalls and Flood Protection Projects
  • Renewable Energy Projects
  • Modern Caisson Construction of Large Foundations
  • Modern Uses and Trends for Submerged Tunnels
  • Anchoring and Restraining Large Floating Structures
  • Noise Mitigation and Measurement for Marine Pile Driving

The goal is to present recent and future projects which include challenging marine foundations. Perspectives from owners, contractors, and engineers on new and recent techniques, designs, and case histories are welcome. Presentations should highlight technical and economic advantages as well as long term performance and energy efficiency.

Call for Proposals: Short Courses & Technical Sessions

The 2015 International Foundations Congress & Equipment Exposition (IFCEE 2015)
March 17-21, 2015 • San Antonio, Texas

Hosted by the Geo-Institute of the ASCE (G-I), the International Association of Foundation Drilling (ADSC), the Deep Foundations Institute (DFI), and the Pile Driving Contractors Association (PDCA)

The Geo-Institute, the International Association of Foundation Drilling (ADSC), the Deep Foundations Institute (DFI), and the Pile Driving Contractors Association (PDCA) will join together to host the 2015 International Foundations Congress and Equipment Exposition (IFCEE 2015) at the JW Marriott in San Antonio, Texas from 17 to 21 March 2015.

IFCEE 2015 will provide a diverse range of activities including presentations of reviewed technical papers, panel discussions and debates, indoor exhibits, and the outdoor equipment exposition. In addition, the conference will offer opportunities for attending educational short courses, technical committee meetings, and networking events.

The Call for Proposals for short courses and technical sessions to be offered during IFCEE 2015 is now open.
Once the technical sessions and tracks have been established, the Call for Abstracts will be released.
It is anticipated that the Call for Abstracts will be available during summer 2013.

Call for Speakers: 

Geoconfluence Geotechnical and Geo-Environmental Conference
November 7, 2013 •  St Charles, Missouri
 

St Louis G-I Chapter The St. Louis Chapter of the Geo-Institute is joining with the University of Missouri-Columbia and the Missouri University of Science and Technology for their third annual geotechnical engineering and geo-environmental conference.

This annual conference will include technical topics and case histories focused on the geotechnical engineering and geo-environmental industry.

The conference planning committee is looking for approximately 6-8 speakers to provide 30-60 minute presentations focused on geotechnical engineering or geo-environmental topics.

All persons are encouraged to submit an abstract to Nicholas Roth  by June, 28, 2013. Abstracts should be limited to 250 words.
