Organize a Graduate Student Organization (GSO) at Your School
Students at any U.S. college or university, who are also individual student members of the Geo-Institute, are encouraged to form a Graduate Student Organization (GSO) at their university.
Members of GSOs must be active student members of the Geo-Institute. There are no dues requirements for GSOs, or for G-I student membership. The GSO is, however, permitted to engage in appropriate activities to raise funds to support its activities.

The function of local GSOs is the enhancement of the education of students who are preparing to become geo-professionals. These organizations engage in activities of their choice as long as such activities do not violate the code of ethics of the Geo-Institute.
