ASCE Elected Office SurveyOne of the ASCE's strategic goals is to facilitate member relationships with elected officials at all levels. Many ASCE members serve as elected or appointed officials at local, state and federal levels. Many others have great relationships with their elected representatives. These individuals and their relationships represent a valuable ASCE resource. Therefore, as we promote public policy that benefits the civil engineering profession, it's important for us to know of your existing local, state, and federal lawmaker relationships, as well as your organizational leadership at the local and state levels. Providing this information is voluntary. It will be used to reach out to ASCE members who indicate that they want to be more active as an ASCE Key Contact, and to recruit new Key Contacts. We will use the results to determine the best course of action as we tackle the infrastructure strategy highlighted in the plan, as well as other important public policy issues.
