Dennis R. Martenson, a consulting environmental engineer and senior project manager with CDM in St. Paul, Minnesota, a world leader in environmental engineering, has been very active in ASCE, numerous other engineering associations, and the University of Minnesota in his more than 35 years of active service to the profession.
Dennis' ASCE service includes vice president of Zone III and director of District 8. He has served in several capacities on National Committees including Publications Committee Chair, Council of Vice Presidents Chair, Committee on Conventions and Conferences, Water Supply Engineering Committee, Minneapolis Annual Convention (1997), Committee on Member Benefits, Committee on Employment Conditions, Co-Chair: Conference on Environmental Engineering (1982) Executive Committee, Communications Committee, Educational Activities Committee, Membership Committee, Audit Committee, Environmental and Water Resources Institute Infrastructure Council.
On the local level he has served as Minnesota Section past president, president, president-elect, secretary-treasurer, information and Public Relations Committee, National Convention Proposal Committee.
Professional service includes Professional Engineering registration in five states, Central States Water Environment Association (CSWEA), Minnesota Section, CSWEA- Minnesota Section, American Water Works Association, University of Minnesota Civil Engineering Department External Advisory Board.
