Andrew W. Herrmann, P.E., F.ASCE earned a bachelor's degree in civil engineering from Valparaiso University and a master's in civil engineering from Polytechnic Institute. He is managing partner of Hardesty & Hanover, LLP, a transportation consulting engineering firm headquartered in New York. During his 30 plus year career he has been responsible for many of the firm's major bridge projects. He is past president of NYC's Metropolitan Section and past chair of the Structural Division's Technical Administrative Committee on Bridges. He is co-chair of the 2005 SEI Structures Congress in NYC and served on the Advisory Council for ASCE's 2001, 2003, and 2005 Report Cards for America's Infrastructure.
