Thomas R. Walther, P.E., F.ASCE holds a bachelor's degree in civil engineering from the University of Wisconsin - Platteville. His entire career has been in public works engineering having spent nine years with the Iowa Department of Transportation and the past 25 years as Highway Commissioner of Eau Claire County, Wisconsin. Tom has had oversight of the regional airport, managed the county landfill and currently manages operation of the county highway department. He has held all offices in the ASCE Wisconsin Section Northwest Branch; has served on the Wisconsin Section Board of Directors including a term as section president; has served on the Wisconsin Section Report Card committee; and has served on Section award committees. Tom is a recipient of the Section Engineer in Government Service Award. Tom is currently the District 8 director. Additionally, Tom has served on the Technical Activities Committee and on the Program Committee.
