Requirements:Provides primary staff support and leadership to two constituent committees of the Educational Activities Committee. The administrator works closely with volunteer committee members to ensure implementation of student chapter-related programs and initiatives designed to enhance the student member experience. Specific responsibilities: serve as primary contact for student chapter leaders; coordinate planning of new officer and advisor training workshops; provide guidance to student conference hosts; assist with production of national student competitions; administer scholarship program; coordinate and attend committee meetings; produce and distribute resource materials; maintain databases; and coordinate evaluation of annual reports and awards. Requirements:coordinate production of the Society’s 32 scholarly journals. Production of the journals entails copyediting, composition, print, distribution, and several quality control checks performed at various stages. The Manager is responsible for overseeing these areas and managing a staff of production editors; outside freelancers; and composition, print, and online vendors. Administrative tasks include invoice processing, budget projections, schedule creation, and employee evaluations. Candidates must be proficient with Microsoft Office products especially Word and Excel and be very familiar with online submission and peer review systems. Candidates must have a BA, at least five years of experience in production editing and project management, supervisory experience, and knowledge of the Chicago Manual of Style.

Requirements:Responsibilities include electronic and paper-based editing and proofing, performing quality-control checks of manuscripts, and enforcing standards of quality control in all phases of production. We will provide training in power editing tools and online manuscript tracking system. Ability to work in a deadline-driven environment required. Computer literacy and ability to communicate effectively with authors, editors, and staff essential. Technical editing and some graphics experience a plus. Math into Type and journals production experience helpful. Candidates must have a BA, at least two years of relevant editorial experience, and knowledge of the Chicago Manual of Style.
